Nritarutya Dance Company is a Bangalore-based Indian Contemporary Dance company led by artistic director Mayuri Upadhya. Being, primarily, a performing unit, we also employ dancers and train them in professional dancing. Nritarutya is a 15 -year old Indian contemporary dance trust, based in Bangalore that has a unique movement vocabulary, which seeks inspiration from Indian ideologies. Adhyaya is a chapter in dance, where talented young dancers are hosted by Nritarutya in a performance organized by the company itself. Formed in 2000 by Mayuri and Madhuri Upadhya, Nritarutya is one of India’s foremost dance companies creating innovative, visceral and ethereal experiences which widen the perceptions of dance. Our artistic creations celebrate India’s cultural magnificence and weave innovation in tradition. At the same time, our education wing works towards conditioning and providing access to the younger generation of dance enthusiasts through our numerous training and development projects. Nritarutya has gone stronger with every passing day under the artistic direction of Mayuri Upadhya, performing at the biggest platforms in our country and across the world.
